My Ongoing
Recovery Experience
(MORE®)
My Ongoing Recovery Experience (MOREĀ®) is the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation's award-winning, evidence-based recovery management program. This straightforward and proven model supports clients in the critical months after treatment and helps move them toward effective self-management.
Available as a print-based coaching program, MORE is ideal for a variety of settings and easily implemented by licensed clinicians and unlicensed peer support specialists.
Why is Recovery Support Important?
Addiction is a chronic, relapsing disease. Studies show most relapses occur within the first six months of leaving treatment, so providing recovery support is crucial.
Recovery support equips clients to build a new life that is free of alcohol and other drugs, identify and cope with triggers, manage cravings, and ultimately achieve lifelong recovery.
MORE Outcomes
Data from the Butler Center for Research shows individuals who accessed a large number of MORE program modules in the year following treatment had significantly higher abstinence rates and consumed less alcohol than individuals accessing few or no modules.
