SALSA is a peer-powered support and advocacy group of and for students who choose not to use alcohol and other drugs. Recognizing that younger students think virtually all teenagers use alcohol and other drugs, SALSA members visit upper, middle and elementary school classrooms and elsewhere in the community as role models of healthy decision-making. This training is designed for middle and/or high school students and their adult advisors.
Training Objectives
- Understand the SALSA approach
- Gain competence in advising or participating in a SALSA group
- Hone leadership, presentation and public speaking skills

- An initial two-day adult advisor and student training
- A PDF manual with activities and guidelines
- Consultative support before and after the training
Note: Shorter or longer programs are available to best meet your specific prevention needs.
Annual or semi-annual one-or half-day trainings are recommended, for an additional fee.
